Failed Tests
Although we make every effort to achieve the best results for our clients, failed tests are a common occurrence. In the event of a failed test, Premier Measurements will provide general verbal remedial advice.
Common reasons for failed tests of properties which are converted can be:
- Insufficient specification of acoustic floor/wall system
- Incorrect installation of acoustic systems
- Flanking noise problems such as chimney breasts, weak cavity wall linings, lightweight doors, incomplete works, etc.
Should any of your tests fail then you will be required to upgrade the level of insulation and have a retest completed. The level of works and testing required following a failure is at the discretion of the Building Control Officer.
To ensure the above do not cause failure within your development call us on 0845 37 000 89 to discuss an appraisal of your construction.
